Default Ctruch or tranmission? Which one i need new?

My car is not moving because i cannot get into gear. My ctruch petal get stuck a little when i push it down. when i push it down and try to put in gear it won't go in and when i put it in reverse doesn't go in but it grinds badly. Before i finally got it in reverse and i let go the ctruch petal a little and it stall out. when i turn it back on i couldn't get it out of reverse and i had to push really hard to get it out and im back to where it started. And i don't know if it is the ctruch or tranmission i need to replace. please help.

Sounds like the clutch, more spacifically the clutch master/slavey cylinders. Did you check the fluid and look for leaks?

Bleed the slave cylinder and then try it again. Start with the simple stuff...

A leak would compound the problem, but if you are low on fluid and/or there is a great deal of air in the clutch lines then it will not engage properly because the air is compressing.
