Why do you think you need a new cat? My original cat lasted about 270k miles on my 95 Si. Even then, it wasn't clogged, but one end rusted and broke off or something. Honda oem cats last a long time. Aftermarket ones, seem to last only two years before getting clogged up.

would getting a new oem cat have any effect on the car, I have about 120k on my civic, or would there be no significant change?
