Default Rota Slipstreams

Ok, I have been looking to get a set of 17 inch slipstreams and have looked a pictures of them and the most popular I have seen are the 15's with a large profile tire. Is that the style or is there more function than what I am seeing. Are the rims so weak that require a little more meat for protection against are sh*tty roads? My buddy has a set of 17's on his WRX with low pro's with no prob. Just wondering, I am new to the import seen but have done my fair share of customizing on other vehicles.

I know they are kinda played out but I like them and I have never seen them on a civic where I am at surprising enough, So CAL

it all depends on the car the wheels are going on. if u put 17's on a civic your going to loose low end torque and more than likely they are going to rub. besides that its gonna look like a monster truck. the optimum wheel sizes for hondas are 15'' and 16''. however, wheel size is a personal preference kinda thing. most ppl consider 17'' and above to be ricer status.

I went with 16" gunmetal slips w/ a polished lip wrapped in 215/40's. They looked great, were exceptionally functional at 13.5lbs each (wheels only), and stong. I prefer the 16" look on the Civics.

His car was the last featured ride. It might still be in that section.

Hey westcoaststyle. What rims did you have on the civic? Those look like the ones I am looking for. Btw, your ride looked nice.
