Default fuel filter

I'm looking to replace the fuel filter on my 99 si. I'm needing some opinions on what kind to go with. Is it better just to pick up something at autozone, or should i do something aftermarket, like aem? Any advice would be awesome!....Thanks guys.

If you have a stock motor (yes, even with bolt-ons) then you're fine to use an OEM replacement from AutoZone or the like.

What do you have going on with the motor that requires more fuel? Bigger is not always better...

just bolt-ons, fuel rail, pressure regulator/gauge. isnt an itr fuel pump rated at 240 or something? i havent swapped it in yet but just gathing parts before i fire it up. i guess i'll just have to check the gauge when it fires.

Well, finding out what the C5 needs to run correctly would behoove you before slapping it in. When it comes to fuel, more isn't better, but too little is very dangerous. With bolt-ons, you won't require more fuel than the stock equipment. You need to be very aware and able to control your fuel when you have a very built N/A motor or FI. You also don't want to starve an upgraded motor so find out what the OEM fuel pressure, injector size (if applicable), fuel line specs (in some cases), and fuel pump LPH specs are.
