there is NOTHING you can do a honda automatic tranny to make handle MORE power then a manual transmission, and if there is the cost of such a modifcation would be so absurd you would have to be a moron not to just switch to a more efficient 5 speed set up. You can only help a automatic SURVIVE boost, where a manual transmission can be made to CONTROL boost. The advantage comes with the massive amount of aftermarket clutch options, every where from slightly better then stock to bullet proof.
I dont get why so many people with automatics cant get over the fact that its not designed for anything but to put a car from point a to point b in the easiest possible way.

your auto tranny[i like to call all honda automatic trannys slush box] will start slipping due to the power it will be handling after you go boost.

you can upgrade your automatic transmission if you really REALLY want to keep the auto, but what is the point in that when you can just get a manual for the price of upgrading the automatic?

supercharger will give you more low end torque which is one thing our little sohc's lack but it takes a lot more gas than a turbo because it is always boosting. What i recommend though is to build the everliving crap out of that motor and put a turbo on, but please make sure you have your air and fuel tuned properly so you dont get detonation in the cylinder.

Even with a supercharged single cam the torque will still be weak.

with the properly sized turbo you can add as much torque to the low end as you can with a supercharger. You really dont need to build the hell out of the motor just to boost it, your good to about 230hp on stock guts so long as compression test and leak down testing are looking good.

There is one HUGE advanatage to boosting a SOHC motor, and that is COST. If you blow one up, there is another 300-600 bucks away, cant say that for any B series motor. Also, a turbo D done right will destroy alot of B series swaps alone, and are capable of making very comparable numbers to even high boost b series motors after some internal work and good turbo sizing. SO swaping the motor isnt the best bet answer to everything
