Default Important ???s Help

I have a 94 EX with intake and exhaust, nothing else. The car "had" 278k miles on it, but the motor was replaced with a j/y one with about 100k.

I just bought this car.

The guy before says he's being using synthetic motor oil. My question is, is it okay to switch back to normal 5w-30 oil instead of sythetic??

2nd Question:
>>My fuel hand was dead on half way, then it was on "E" 63mi down the road.

Am I really getting the poor fuel mileage or is there a problem with the gauge cluster??

No I haven't done a tune-up yet and I don't know when a tune up was last done on the car. Within the next month I will be doing a tune-up which will include:

Wireset
Plugs
Oil/Filter
Fuel Filter
Air Filter
Inspect tranny fluid

Anything else?

I've heard you don't want to switch back from synthetic. It's not too expensive now so you might as well keep running it anyway.

Thanks, anyone else??

Is is that the fuel guage on our/my model move too much???
If i were to do a guage cluster swap to like a GSR or something, would the fuel gauge be more accurate??
