Well now, almost 6 month later, I started getting battery chick light while driving one the highway. The funny thing, last night when I was driving my car I though there was something weird, the headlights and dashboard light seemed unusually.... bright! And then while driving on the highway the battery light would come on. Maybe the alternator is feeding too much voltage? Its still the same old alternator, I never bothered to put the new one in.

its that big thing inside your distributor. Sometimes when they get hot they dont work again until they cool off, this could be that its failing.
