Default Please Help!!! Vtec Bolt On?

I read in Honda tuning Mag. that you can bolt on a vtec on a dx? I have a 98 civic dx, its slow just for show right now, anyway does anybody know how to wire it, or what I need to do, to get it to work?

how much power would that give anyway? i'd figure it'd be better to just sack up the money for a b16a if you want vtec anyway(overrated). plus, wouldn't you need to have the vtec solenoid and the ecu from the doner engine?

I thought a 98 DX had VTEC already? but the fuel efficient VTEC not as aggressive as the EX version.

Yes you'll need the ECU and the selanoid assembly is on the head of the engine not the block.
