You're talking about the ECU, not the engine.

ok hi everyone im pretty new here and i was just wondering what does odb acctually stand for? i have been racking my brain for a bit and cant figure it out.

and the 1 and 2 are just for older set and newer set?

Yeah. ODB0 for 91 and earlier, OBDI for 92-95, and OBDII for 96 and newer I believe.
