Don't the Canadian EX's have the d16y7? I know that their Si = USDM EX, and their SiR = USDM Si.

I have no idea why it does that. But it did it to me. Fixing my O2 sensor got rid of the code.

Why it does that makes no sense, or what I said? All I know is: CEL for IACV, replaced O2 sensor, code went byebye.

I am unsure on this. This may be correct. It still wouldn't expain why he has a vtec solenoid.
