Install Question 98 Civic LX
I have to install a new passenger side mirror on my 98 civic -- I am not worrying about the electrical, I was able to purchase a manual one that is compatible. I'm not exactly sure how to get it on? I don't want to break anything on the door, but I don't know how to remove the plastic cover that is requiring to install the mirror?
Any advice on the best way to do this? Work schedule and the need for my car for work makes it very hard for me to bring it in.
Thanks in advance!!!
Ron

It's really easy.
Ideally you should take off the door panel, but if your hands are small enough you can just wiggle the sail panel off and get to the three 8mm nuts. Be careful. If you drop one, you'll be taking the door panel off. Once you take off three nuts, it'll just pop off. Reverse to install. Here is a pic of the nuts with the sail panel removed.
PM me if you have any questions. It shouldn't take you more then 15mins.
