With the Y8 your not gonna get numbers like that, you might see 10 to 15hp but your right that the y8 wont hurt the wallet as much.
Are you sure it wasn't a del sol vtec, or he didn't have a 35 shot hidden? I'm not saying that your lieing, but your not going to gain 43whp by swapping intake manfolds on a lightly modified N/A d-series...sorry.
113whp sounds about right for a stock d16 w/bolt-on's. If he does have a d16, i'd start searching for his N20 switch, i'd like to see this dyno chart....
You'd be lucky to gain a few whp by swapping manifolds, you may see 2-3whp by swapping manifolds, and another few by going to the skunk2.
