Default sell? or keep?

hey guys , iv got a question i have an

Civic 3dr hatch
N Reg
1992 -1995 Shape
55876 Miles Genuine
Automatic Gearbox
LSI Model Green Colour

It drives superb ive lowerd it 40mm with 15inch alloys and its very smooth on good roads.

Its pretty nippy but the thing is i think i want to sell it and get an Vtec VTi model i just want more power what do you guys thnk ? what kinda mods do you need to get and Lsi to an 160bhp state ? is it possible or am i better of selling it and just buy a vtec.

thanks in advance.

Where are your from? I kinda guessed from the " N reg" that it might be the UK but I am not sure. I am unfamiliar with the Lsi designation, what engine is that? If it is a D series i don't think anything short of forced induction will get you 160 Hp. But if you could give a bit more technical data that would be helpful

well it wont get you 160 but it will make it a bit more enjoyable.
Put on a skunk2 intake manifold. Ive SEEN the gains this can add, and there pretty damned impressive. Next swap the tranny out for a EX/Si tranny. The shorter gears will give you some better acelleration, which should make it a bit more entertaining to drive. Ultimatly boost or a DOHC swap is gonna be only the only way for some real power

kool , so it is a good engine to mod? cause i realy like driving this car its low milage and drives mint i had a civic before 3dr hatchback manual did over 100 thousand on the clock and it drove like a shed not good at all.

when i rev this engine before it autmaticly changes gears at i think 6000rpm it sounds beautiful.

it will substantialy increase the airflow and efficieny of air being brough into the motor. On my friends Del Sol Si, With nothing but a d16z6 and intake, header, and exhaust and the skunk 2 intake manifold, he dynoed 156hp. If you did the same you could potentialy see 130 to 140 whp, which is substantially more then the 96 or so your putting to the ground now.
