Default Maintenance Required Indicator

I have a 97 civic ex and when i first got the car the indicator was red and the temp gauge on the dash was bad and when the guy replaced it i noticted the indicator was now green. Its been about 6 months since i had the car and i've taken car of it and change the oil avery 3000 miles and crap like that. Now the indicator in yellow and i was wondering what does that mean and how do u get it to go back to green? Any suggestions would be helpful.

Stick the key into the slot near the Odometer... it will turn it green... that Maintenance indicator begins green when reset, turns yellow, to a brownish color and then red. it's based on mileage and not on the exact condition of the car. so it's basically a reminder.
