This is what I'm not too sure. I'm using a JDM D15B rated at 130ps. If anyone can tell me which model D15B it is, that would be great. And it's a 1992 model.

The D15B is the VTi trim right? I think you have a 3 stage VTEC system that Im not too sure a B16 ECU will work out with. Im not sure, but it may work but throw certain codes.

We dont have the 3 stage D15B VTEC here in the states, so not many people are too familiar with the setup.

OIC, thanks anyway for all the feedback. I'll try to find out more here or better still, try it out myself.

The honda scene here in M'sia is quite good. We have tuners, pro and under the tree type that modified vtec like no tomorrow. You can see a lot of variaties, turbo-vtec, civic with ,h22a, b20 hybrid, type R etc.

But, the bad thing now is vtec engine price is getting higher because we're told that US importers are buying them in bulk..

Well, whatever it is, as long as we are honda fan, that's cool..

92-00 civics had the 3 stage VTEC in the VTi D15B and D16's. Of course he's sure it is a 92. It came with his car from the factory.

I would say it is a little better than our version of the VTEC-E depending which motor you are talking about.
