cheapest way is turbo the d or b series. With the right fuel managment and turbo setup a b-series is capable of pushing 500+ on stock block.

true that. a d to push 300 will need some head work tho deffinitely to flow that kind of air to make 300. a stock b18 block with stock internls could maybe handle 300 with excellent tuning. but thats a big maybe

it is said throughout the honda community that a stock b series block can handle about 300 HP on stock internals and sleeves with awesome tuning. As soon as you start pushing over 300+, you are going to want the block atleast honed with new forged internals including building the head with new valves, retainers, bolts, headgasket, and maybe a block gaurd... As soon as you start pushing 450 HP - 475 HP, you are going to definately need to resleeve the block as I wouldn't test the stock sleeves that high. If you haven't blown the engine by 450 HP, I say get the blocks sleeved.

when it comes to a D series, not sure. lol.

u won't hit 300hp on stock b18 without some nice head studs!

i personally wouldn't boost any engine without new headstuds, just stating that it is possible.

stock sleeves have been proven to 600+whp. 450 would hold fine

B-series engine of choice $2,000 - $3,500
Turbo kit COMPLETE $2,000 - $3,000+
Done.

My old set-up was a bone stock b16a down to the head studs.
I was making about 320hp - 330hp (just shy of 300whp)..
Custom turbo set-up tuned w/hondata.
