Srr Rear Lca Hitting Shock Mount
I got a 94 EX sedan. The inverted U on the rear shock mount is very close to touching the top of the SRR Lower Control Arm. The gap is only like about 1/8 of an inch maybe even less. What are the consequences?
I was just going to replace the rear strut assembly with some good used oem that I bought from here but all the bolts stuck into the bushings so I cut them. Two abs sensor line screws, broke as well. I was planning to have the bushings pressed out and then replace with polyurethane bushings but I cave in and got the SRR. It has poly bushings built in and the price was cheaper than oem. Now this. Any ideas? Please tell me.

I was told by the tech that works with the SRR vendor that this is due to the fact that unlike aftermarket, the stock strut assembly is not lowered. The rear strut assembly was from a 96 Integra which has the same length as the original 94 EX. Could that be it? I was thinking, perhaps maybe I installed the pin of the Trailing Arm bushing that bolts into the frame, in a wrong angle or could this be fixed by adjusting the SRR rear upper camber kit shorter than stock?...

Well the shock will move with the control arm so you shouldn't be concerned.

Come to think of it, when the car goes through say like a street hump, the wheels will bounce or go in an upward motion, that is okay. But when say the wheels go in a downward direction (further apart from the fenderwell) , the shock mount base will bang on to the LCA, right?

doesn't look good to me. If you are driving at stock height (not lowered), it makes sense that there would be more room if the car was lowered. That sucks to see. I was thinking about getting some LCAs sorta like that. I use my car for work so I don't really want it lowered.

Do you think by putting back the rear sway bar will reduce the angle of the RLCA making it more horizontal? The sway bar might pull the LCA upwards. I ordered and still waiting for the poly bushings for the sway bar but I can't wait, I will try this tonight.
