Default What can i do to my engine?

I seen that i can buy a new AEM cam gear, Skunk2 stage 1 camshaft, and a AEM pulley kit for my d16y8. would that be worth the time or money?

not really. Modding the d16y8 for NA power is somewhat beating a dead horse. There is no real point unless you wanna spend a ton of money. Save your money for a swap or a turbo

:werd: you wont notice any significant changes in how much faster your car would be.
AEM cam gear - ~$100
cam - ~$200-300
pully kit - ~$200

these are rough esimates, with that money you can buy a B18B1.

I will say this though.... I have a d series in my race hatch at the moment while I save for more K series parts....

my cx weighs about 1900lbs, d16y7 with z6 manifold and full exhaust. It's suprisingly quick. It feels similar to my 92 hatch with b18b1.

Sooo.... what I'm getting at is if you want to be faster without turbo or swapping loose some weight off of your car, because that will help just as much as all those expensive mods you are talking about

i understand that it felt faster, but i'm guessing that the thing is only pullin like a light weight hatch.. probly 15's in the 1/4. If compaired to a boosted D or B.. it would be game over!

blah quarter mile is unimportant. all that is important is that it has decent acceleration to pull through the turns
