Default torque

what is the best way to get some torque out of a b-series engine? im guessing turbo but is there any other way? and how hard would it be to squeeze a j30a1 into a civic?

What B series are you referring to? The B18B and C have plenty of torque stock, but the B16's have very little.

Best way, some kind of FI or Nitrous.

This is what I researched:

1. short intake. The longer the intake tubing the better for higher rpms. Short intakes help low end torque.
2. Exhaust with backpressure. The N1 type exhausts are good for high rpms also. Whereas stock is better for low end torque.
3. lighter wheels
4. Aftermarket pulleys

listen to this man. Short and skinny primaries and 4/2/1 headers help the most with torque on hondas.

Ah yes forgot about 4-2-1 header. 4-1 header helps with high end rpms too.

on an NA engine tho, i dont really see having huge gains from just a header, just my opinion. ITB's will increase throttle response and also better high end power, 4-2-1 as stated before etc. for low end torque, ur gonna either want FI or more displacement for a honda engine

unless you have unlimited funds and/or are capable of building an entire car from scratch, forget about swaping a J-series motor in your civic.
