Yea, I was going to say, Allmotor is naturally aspirated. Blowing or turboing is forced induction.

I also have a D16z6 and was wondering if that means that the stock pistons are ok to do FI or if aftermarket with the same compression are the way to go.

You're stock will only hold up to 6-8 reliably. Sure others have gotten more out of the stock stuff, but its kinda like the median ya know?

It is all in the tuning, up to a certain point.

It doesn't help that the D-series rods are toothpicks, so that is a huge mechanical restraint to more boost.

Here is a great website for boosted D's. I'm sure you could find what others are doing that works well.

or www.sohchonda.com

They cover NA d-series, Forced Induction, and Nitrous d-series.

2 things i thought i'd point out....

1. the car is Auto (Just wondering how much HP the torque converter can handle)
2. Red, how many cars/engines have you been through? (just a little "Heavy footed")

just thought they should be filled in before giving advice...

You missed the point. These people should understand that you are not going for a stage 5 race car so they wont be telling you how to build a 10 sec car. I know you are still learning and I am willing to help. I have already made several mistakes on what to do and what not to, so I can save you alot of time/money.

I pointed out your car was auto so they would understand its limitations.
I also pointed out how many cars you have been through because its obvious you can be hard on a car, so they would have better info reguarding what is safe horsepower and what you will likely kill your car with.

As I mentioned, a pulley kit is "safe" horsepower since you are not pushing parts to their limits like with NOS.

Also a short ram intake (like the one I made you) is fairly safe since it only eliminates restrictions, A cold air intake is better, but I know how you like to play in the rain, so this was a safer bet for you.
