Default Having problems with civic, plz help

Ok im having some problems with my civic,

The car is lowered with springs and shocks, but when i hit a really big bump it feels like i have no shocks at all. Its really really bad; it makes my cd player skip. I dont know if the shocks are set to be REALLY hard or what; beacuse i just got this car.

Also at 80 mph or higher the car starts shaking real bad, like total in car vibration. You can feel it thru the sterring wheel and the set and everywhere.

Also, it feels like it jumps kinda like a bunny hope in 1st gear when u start moving, and sometimes wont go in reverse and wont go into 4th at high high rpms without grinding. When i accelereate it feels like the car shakes a little bit, when i really get on the gas.

I dont know if the problem listed above is a transmission problem or what. I might have to buy new shocks or something. I also have 4 diffrent tires on my car, totally diffrent brands and tires; its really ghetto. Anyway, if anyone has anything to say lets hear it. Its my first civic and im already mad and confused.

Mike

sounds like a few issues, fisrt thing i would do is get 4 matching tires and get an aligment that might stop the shacking, the shoocks are most likely blown so you should get new ones, and the tranny is a whole seperate issue , what motor is in the car?

tein or tokico are good shock/spring packages. big price difference between the two though. fix your suspension and your ride will be perfect.

I agree to a point. The ride quality isnt bad, but it sits so high, it looks like a 4X4.
