lowering ??
I'm not saying coilovers are that difficult. Just that people try to readjust them too often and mess up their alignment. Everytime you change the height of your car you should get an alignment.
I feel 1.8" drop is nice with 15s and 16s.

Is there a noticeable difference with a 1.8" drop, in terms of looks and handling? I have a couple friends with dropped Hondas & Acuras, and they lay pretty low with 1.75-2" drops, but I'm having a tough time picturing a drop on my Civic.
I have a 1.8" front and 1.6" (H&R Sport). Rolling on 16's, the drop was perfect for my taste, tire almost meets fender but not quite. With 17's, there is a slightly bigger gap in front, but the rear is tucked.

well i got coilovers and they are neuspeed now but taking them off and putting lexany springs up in the ride , i think going 2" drop with 17s and see how it is , what do yall think, peace latezzzz
My only concern about springs is that I'll be happy with them for a little while, but will want to go lower in the future. I don't want to mess with my suspension setup more than once, so that's why I'm kinda stuck between springs & coilovers. When I had my Nissan mini, I started with a 2" drop, and eventually the thing was dropped ~6" (ended up being about 3.5 to 4" off the ground)...
moral of story: I dont want to use springs and decide to go just a little lower later on, yet springs are cheaper and you don't have to mess with adjusting them...

This is a 1.8" Neuspeed drop with 17" wheels 205/40x17" tires:

Ok...here's the deal......
I had a 3in drop coilovers on stock shocks:
~ Sh!ty ride, blown shocks in 4 weeks, 3 cracked CV boots, 3 busted CV joints....in turn...3 new axles....:doh: :wtc:
I NOW have a 3in drop SPRINGS on stock shocks:
~ Smooth ride, EXCELENT handeling, shocks in tack (3 months now), 1 busted CV boot (mad crazy pot hole....not springs fault :doh:
)
Get springs

Sounds convincing enough, but now how much of a drop? See, I'm so damn indecisive on this stuff. I won't be dropping the car for a little while still, and when I do it'll be on stock HX rims...I guess that'll be fine for a little while until I buy rims, but I don't want my car to look ghetto (slammed on stock rims).
