HELP! My SRS light is on.
So school ended yesterday. I got to my car, unlocked it, got in, and started the engine. But the SRS light didnt go off. This had happened before like once or twice, but every time it happened i would just restart the car, and it would be fine. But it never went off. Its still on today. what should i do. I called the dealership, they want $85 to diagnos it. oh, its a 96 civic lx.

CEL (check engine light) if it is on then you can 'rig' it to blink some long and short flashes which gives you a number, which tells you whats up with the car.. if your CEL is on then let us know and you will be told how to check the codes..
EDIT: and no, its not a dumb question, i asked the same question 250 posts ago

nope, the CEL is not on. i dont know why the air bag light would come on either. it was just sitting in the parking lot, i dont think it would break by just sitting there. any info would be helpful.
i tried some things to fix it. i have no idea what to do, but i took out the fuse for the air bag, started the car, then shut if off, put the fuse back in and restarted the car. I hoped that might reset the air bag computer.
