Default B16a2

What should be the basic steps to getting the most power out of a B16 since it doesnt have the torque of a B18. I have intake, exhaust, headers, type-r ecu and msd.

The basic steps, or the cheapest? The basics would be forced induction, upping the CC's, cam's, pistions, expensive stuff.

Well I'm not looking to do turbo just yet. I have to decide if I want turbo or just go NA. Does it make since to do throttle body without intake manifold or the other way around?

If you get say a GSR throttle body on a b16 manifold, it will work, but it would work even better if you bored your manifold or got a GSR manifold.

I hear a lot of people say that the B16 intake manifold is better because it allow better air flow. Is getting a GSR throttle body worth it or a aftermarket one is better?

The head flows nice on a b16, I dunno about the intake manifold. If anything go to jdmshit.com and get there type r intake manifold, its the exact thing as a jdm type r mani only like 150$ cheaper. You can get like a skunk2 throttle body for 275$ or a gsr for 75$-100$ and the pretty much the same thing. It all depends on your funds and what you're going for. Theres a website where some guy just bores throttle bodies, its all he does, and it's cheap to. For the 275$ you could get a bitchen gsr throttle body bored to whatever you want to, and the guy rebuilds it too.

:nono: you can NOT run a GSR mani on a b16a. The bolt pattern is different, and I dunno why you would want to anyhow.

me personally, I went with a JDM p30 intake manifold with a JDM Sir-G throttle body. The skunk2 and ITR mani will give you slight gains but nothing really usable as it is more noticeable very high in the rpms range not down low. If you want trq it is gonna be through FI. Also just a pet peave, but you have a header not header(s). Also, running the type-R ecu can actually hurt you more than help you as it is set up to run a completely different compression, cam profile, etc.
