what ecu
my friend has a 1993 honda civic cx hatch and he blew his d15b8
he then bought a d16y7 for 300
what ECU should he be using? i guess he had someone install it all and now it wont run...i told him he would need a new ecu and he didnt beleive me...so now hes coming to me for help and im not sure what ecu he needs i just knew he needed a diffrent one
an ASAP response would be great...its his daily driver and he hasnt been driving daily for about 2 weeks haha

can't use obd2 ecu unless you get the jumper 0bd2 to obd1. Cx ecu should would but the dx (p06) is about the same as the y7 ecu. Beside, if someone install it, they probably did something wrong to it. Or the motor was already bad when bought it.

I had that same problem, so what i did is bought a conversion harness from ob0-ob1 then I also change my ecu from pm6 to p28 now work's like a charm. you can get the conversion harness from Rywire.com . good luck
