Default Which exhaust

wow. i have so many problems with my car.

one of the many is the exhaust. about two months ago the tail pipe rusted and fell off my car. it actually sounded better since there was less back pressure. sounded like an aftermarked exhaust. but then it got worse, the actual exhasut pipe snaped right under the engine. where it connects to the header i believe. so im now in the market for a new exhaust. im going to the dealer on monday to have them look at it. im getting the 'free exhaust check' so they can give me a base price for a completly installed stock system. Im not gonna do it there, i just want to know the price. so I think i need an aftermarket cat back. wondering if anyone has any suggestions. im looking in the $200 price range.

is this good? exhaust

you wont really find any good catback systems for less than 350. apexi has a nice exhaust called the World Sport or World Sport 2 that can be had for around 300-450. if you dont want that much performance and just want a cheaper aftermarket exhaust i guess you can go with that one(the one you provided) if you arent in to that scene.

the world sport is amazing. perfect sized for a civic, not like the monster 4 inch tip ones that looks stupid. sounds just a little bit deeper than stock. you can pick one up on ebay for around 400 shipped, thats what i got mine for. stock exhaust systems from the dealer is expensive. why replace with stock when you can upgrade?

i agree with ur comment about "why replace with stock when you can upgrade?". its just so i can have an idea of what the dealer will charge, and also so i can justify getting after market with my parents.

If the exhaust system is ruptured near the header, buying a cat back system won't do... I think.

From what I understand, a cat back exhaust system replaces everything from the catalytic converter back. This won’t fix any problems near the header. It seems you'll have to replace everything from the header back, which could still encompass a catback along with other parts.

I've only seen pacer setters on old integras that have the whole side mounted exhaust systems. There not bad at all.

exhaust goes header-downpipe-cat-exhaust so if your exhaust went bad near the header then id be guessing downpipe so a cat back would do you no good.. wait til the dealer tells you what you need
