Default engine light

I just got my car out of the shop,it was there for 2 months because it was overheating. they replaced the head gasket, cylinder head, radiator, thermostat, and coils. This cost me about $2,600. And now when i take it home my engine light comes on and the car begins to shake, what can it possibly be now??....i have a 2002 Honda Civic Ex...someone please help or give me some input...thanks.

I dunno. When my engine light comes on, I just disconnect the negative battery cable to reset the ECU and forget about it.

sounds like whoever did your work doesn't know what they are doing, if you spent that much, they must of been playing guessing games

The "Check Engine" light has to do with you emission sensors. I just recently had that light pop up when i was on a road-trip. I put the silencer on my exhaust for the trip and it ended up causing a back-up in the system and one of my sensors/valves needed to be replaced. It ran me about $300 at the local Honda dealorship.
And you say that your car is shaking too??? Sounds like definate mechanic-incompitance. Take your car to a better shop next time.
