Get a huge braker bar and put it in reverse or in 5th gear and stomp o nthe brakes. Also, you can put a breaker bar in between the 2 wheel studs and have someone hold that too, that will completly stop the car from moving when u try to get it off. Also Spray it with some PB Blaster.

no it's just a sheet metal cover on the bottom engine side of the tranny near the oil pan. 4 bolts and it's off.

Use a chain wrench... and put a drove belt around the pulley, grip it tight and use a breaker bar with the 17mm socket...hold them in place an loosen that mofo. Have someone hold the chain wrench while you break that bolt loose.

i know what a grip chain is but what is a drove belt or are you saying drive belt because if you are then im thinking you mean to put the drive belt on the pully so the chain doesnt ruin the pully when tightened. Is that what your saying?

the drive belt prevents both damage and slipping, metal to metal just won't grip.

everyone in here, its an auto...it doesnt have a flywheel..it has a flex plate, which is even weaker than than the teeth on the flywheel as it is thinner. DO NOT use it as a stopping point to remove the crank pulley.

Good catch on the (auto).
If you have $100 and time to wait a couple days, order the tool from Sir Tools. If you're doing a mini me swap now, you're probably going to use it again in the future. It also holds the crank while you tighten the bolt!

I've used mine on three motors this summer alone-BEST $100 I've spent. Makes this job painless!!
