Default Engine mods

what is the best way to get HP other than a turbo or a swap. I already have a full catback and a cold air intake. i have a hyper ground system. I also have a capaster for my battery so my car's computer is always reading to the best of it's abilitys. I don't want to put headers on because i just plan on putting in a turbo later anyways. by the way i have a 94 si with a d16

Save for turbo, live with the current power...

And what are you talking about with the capacitor?

the cap is the best way i can discribe it. what is does it stores power and so you battery is alway putting out 12 volts. it helps your computer get correct reading on what you car is doing. it helped my tork and hp it made my headlights brighter and i get alittle better gas mileage.

well if your looking for mods that will give you a good amount of horsepower and still be usable when you go boost, then you should definently consider a Skunk 2 intake manifold. Ive got a friend who made some very nice gains to a mostly stock car with his manifold, and it only got better when he threw on his turbo kit. Short of the manifold NOTHING short of nitrous is going to add any kind of noticable power, and for the cost of a nitrous kit your already well on your way to a complete turbo kit

I'd go with Edelbrock before Skunk2 (being a Skunk2 owner). The Edelbrock has shorter/fatter runners and a much larger plenum.
