Wouldn't you want smaller tires to cut through snow? 225's seem a bit wide, especially for snow use.

depends on offset and width of tire and rim.

205 is the safest with the 2.0+ inch drops that are common with Honda folks nowadays.

I got the SPC shortened rear LCAs so that I wouldn't have any tire rub in the back. I occassionally rub in the front, but that's due to the fact that there are a lot of bumpy roads around my area and my bump stops are still in the mail h:

Ok so let me get this straight. Right now I drive on the stock sized 185/65-15" (24.5 ID). On track days when I switch to 205/50-15" (23 ID) I will reduce the size of the "gear". My car will accelerate faster? Or it will appear so on the speedo? Or both...

Yes in a sense it should. Your speedo will be off by alot. Going from 24.5 diameter to 23" is a significant difference.

your right . but i'll have snow chains on . 93 civic with only one airbag in the snow is scary as hell . haha but you are correct about that through snow.
