Are you sure? I thought there was some in the screen around the inside of the pipe.

Regardless, these WILL help you pass emissions in certain states because the state doesn't use a sniffer and the exterior of the pipe looks as though it is a catalytic convertor.

there isn't any material like those found on catalytic converters.. the screen you see inside is like those found on resonators.. it's just a mini muffler..

so my Aerospeed Cat, is only a resonator? It's straight-through, but has a half inch of screen around the entire inside. i was told that the catalyst material is behind the screen.

Yes, I don't know why so many of these companies market their resonators or test-pipes as hi-flo cats, most of them don't even resemble one. If you do a search on ebay, 95% of the so called hi-flo cats are just resonators and/or test pipes.

hehe, that explains the amount of noise i gained w/ it my car is far beyond the legal noise limit now, but i did notice much crisper response out of it. i think it was worth the $50 i paid for it. hot bad for Aerospeed...
