you can stop payment on the check up to two weeks after it was cashed. see with your bank or his bank if thats an option.

call and talk to his dad. Explain that you won an ebay auction from his son and tell him that you have not recieved the item. Also tell him that if you dont recieve the item you will be forced to file a complaint with the athorities and you dont want to have to do that. And ask him if he's willing to help and give you a call back.
