rear view mirror always moving
with my stereo playing in my hatch the rear view mirror always rattles and you have to adjust everytime if you want to see out of it. i was thinking its because its connected to the roof rather than the windshield. does anyone have this problem that has their mirror connected to the windshield? would a boadway mirror work better with all the vibrations? thanks guys
A broadway mirror would make it heavier and tend to tilt downwards with the vibrations.
Try this trick: using a black zip tie and zip it around the mounting arm and the hinge of the mirror. Tighten it just enough to be a support, but not so tight that it pulls the mirror tilt up. I did this and I never have tilt down problems. Plus, the black zip tie is essentially invisible there.

On my 00 Civic I purchased tennis grip tape at Sports Authority. Took off the mirror and dissembled it. On the joint/ball part I put some of the tape on the ball and put it back together.

mine is connected to the windshield...it used to rattle all the time. so i took it off. there is a metal clip inside that holds it down....i bent it so it was on tighter, put it back on, and its never rattled again.
