Another One bites the dust!
went for a drive tonight...
crusin the strip..
nice cool weather..
take off after an srt4..
start to hear some knockin.. ( i kno what that mean! via past experience)
so i floor it / slamin the gears / 4 miles to my home so that i don't have to tow it coz i know it's already gonna blow.. upwords of 100mph on highway with srt4 guy & i'm almost gettin his azz while my knocking is gettin louder & louder.. i fall back & fall back & hop off the high way as i coast down my street barly limping home & roll right into my garage as she dies right there.. (thank you for making it home hun)
i get out to look at it & the exhaust side of the turbo is Red Hot.. like molten metal along with the down pipe.
I can see steem comming from behind the intake mani = blown head gasket
it's pretty bad! lol
maybe i'll get motivated to tear it apart this week!

i mean knockin like crazy & me continuing to bring it to 7k.. thats just amazing!

I've just been beating the crap out of these stock motors all summer coz i knew my sleeved block wasn't going to be ready till mid winter.. gots to have some fun in the mean time!

Maybe i'll try bringing it back to life again!
I just can't seem to wait it out till i get the built motor done.. i think i could throw somethin together from all the parts i have layin around in my garage! I'll have to tear it apart tonight & see exactly what all is wrong with this thing!

your crazy bro you kill these engines like nothing i mean you must get like 75 miles out of each one, but if i could afford it i would do the same thing

ok well i started tearing it apart tonight.. spent a couple hours on it!
All i have to do tomarrow is take the head studs out & the oil pan off, all fluids are drained & everything else is detached.. intake mani will come right off with the head.
The oil was burnt to hell.. seriously smelled like the worst batch of burnt popcorn you've ever had! & it was a very strong smell.. my entire garage stinks of it! lol
heres a couple pix for u guys!
