Default why go B when H is best bang for buck?

im confused AGAIN! sry guys. gunna get an engine. was looking at b16 or b18. but i just was on fnf-motors.com. and im wonderng why i shouldnt just get an h22... its just a little bit more than the b16 and produces more aswell. so why is there so much hype about b-series when it looks obviously more efficient to go with h-series. UNLESS they cant, or are very difficult to swap into hondas(which is what im guessing). i have a 92 hatch. yesterday i was at a car show, and saw a 96-00 hatch with an h22a in it, which got me looking. and now here we are. thanks ahead for your imputs.

they are alot tougher to swap in, but its still a somewhat common swap. just expect to pay more for the install and new mounts and stuff.

another reason is because alot of people down the road after a swap start looking into forced induction -- H series doesn't take too well to boost using stock block.

who says? the early (94-96) H22A had semi closed deck blocks...B series are completely open block.

H22 takes too much engine bay room... get the B series and use the extra space for a bigturbo system in there. H22 are heavier.

H22A is like 50 pounds heavier...big whooooopy...and you can fit a turbo system on an H22A in a civic bay...

Everyone is just too lazy to do the extra effort the H22 has to offer.

the next civic I build, and there will be another one after I am done building the subaru is gonna be a boosted H...I have driven b18c, b16a, b18b, b20b powered civics ranging from built NA to boosted, and I have driven one boosted H22A civic, and I just though it was a blast...sure its a pain in the ass to put the power down, but hell any high power fwd would be.

Aren't there issues with the handling of an H22-swapped Civic? I heard it further induces understeer, which we are of course always looking to correct anyways. Not just with the extra 50lbs, but because of the way it sits in the Civic's engine bay. Isn't that the main reason people don't use H-series?
