Lightweight flywheels
Has anybody driven an EX with a lightweight flywheel? I need to to a tranny swap anyway, so I'm considering either an 8.5lb or 11.75 lb flywheel with an ACT heavy duty clutch.
Anybody have any advice or comments about how they drive?
Thanks.

I have a 8.8 lb ACT prolite in my GSR. The throttle response is much improved and rev-matching is a whole lot easier because it revs up and down very quickly. I haven't noticed any drivability issues because of the flywheel, only that it is harder to take off on hills and it takes a little more gas to get going.
I have heard of them breaking, but only with 400+ hp cars while road racing, so I don't think that is anything to worry about.

So the next question is what's the difference between Pro Street and ACT flywheels? The clutch kit I'm looking at is an ACT clutch with Pro Street flywheel. Pricing them out separately, there's an $88 difference to get both ACT clutch and flywheel, but the website doesn't even list an ACT flywheel for the EX.
Is Pro Street pretty much the same as ACT?
Thanks.
