b18 swap and front end conv.
Hey guys, I just recently finished my ls swap into my 94 civic coupe, it was alot easier than expected other than the engine was rather heavy, seeing that I had no cherry picker, I slid the engine under the car and dropped the car on top of the engine. After that, it was just a matter of getting all the mounts up and then raising the car with the engine in it to put the axles and wheels on. Now I have a couple of questions.. What kind of problems could I encounter with having a broken TPS? Also could I have any problems running my p06 computer instead of the pr4, p74 or p75? Another thing is, I want to change the look of my car since I have done this swap and a friend of mine offered me a black '00 SI hood, bumper, headlights and fenders for 200 dollars, would that bolt on to my car? Or would it be alot of hassle of getting it fitted and welded and bolted back on? Any advice/comments will be accepted. Also dont be stupid and talk shit about my backyard swap, I had little cash and no engine in my daily driver (long story), and I think it came out pretty nice :-). Thanks again -Alex
How bad is the TPS broken? If its not plugged in your car will idle like shit. To replace the TPS you would eaither have to buy a new throttle body or drill the old TPS out. I suggest getting it fixed. As for the conversion you would probally have to cut and weld alot, IMO i dont think its worth it
It is not plugged in at all and yes it does idle like shit but I was wondering if it could affect anything else other than shitty idle at stop lights and extra gas consumption. Yes the p06 is the D15B7 computer and it seems to be working alright, it just seems like somethin about driving it with the p06 hooked up is different. Someone told me all you have to do it drill it out and get a new one "set" in there.
