i have a d16y8 and im putting on a custom turbo but i need to know which pistons to go with so that i can runn more boost ....any one have any suggestions or know which work the best

 

Low compression. A lot of people use JE.

My ideal setup on my D16Y8 would be Forged pistons w/ stock compression and a thicker head gasket that would lower compression less than low compression pistons would keep your car running hard even outside of boost.

 

I personally would choose CP, but JE are good ones too. Lower compression to 9:1 also.

And pistons dont really matter with boost as much as rods do. Get a good set of Eagle or Pauter rods to go with those pistons, along with getting your block sleeved, and you will be in good shape.
