If you know some way where you can measure the back of the wheel to the center of the wheel, that'll determine what your offset is in millimeters. Since you said that your wheels stick out a little, I'm guessing that you have a +33mm or +35mm offset.

:werd:

and if you don't want curb marks on your rims, get 205/50r15 tires to mate with the 15x6.5" rims. I've had two close calls, and still no rim damage h:

Or just learn not to come that close to the curb...

Also, will lowering my car tuck the wheels in at all? Or will they stay the same?

I ask because they stick out, but not by much.. Maybe 1/2 ", and 1/4 of that 1/2 is my tire (205 45).

If I lower my car, I prob wont be able to turn much without rubing will I ?

when some asshat next to you is trying to change lanes into you, and its either him or the curb, you'll know where I'm coming from

depends on your drop. but at about 2.5", my wheels barely tuck (205/50r15). the only problem you might run into is when your correct your camber.

are they 16x7s? I remember when I was riding 16s on 205/45, they pretty much were even with the fenders, in terms of sticking out. But I was only dropped about 1.5" or 1.75", somewhere around there. I only rubbed when I was turning all the way, with a load in the car (3+ people).

if you have 16"+ rims, lower liberally

I am kinda leaning towards circuit 8's but they only come in a 38+ mm offset in 15's. Will I have problems with rubbing or getting my camber corrected with that offset?

Here is a crappy photoshop of my car with circuit 8's

Not really. But the width of your tire would come into consideration. A tire like Falken Azenis' 205/50/15 would definitely rub. But if you get something like a 195/55/15 tire, you should be okay.

That is the tire size I already have on my Si's if I get a set of Rotas I am just going to use those since they are basically brand new.

If I go with the circuit 8's I am going to get 16 x 7.0 since they have a +40 offset. Would I rub with 16's?

If I get slipstreams I am going to go with 15 x 6.5 since the offset is +40.

I dont want to take the chance with a +38 offset.

16x7 with a +40mm offset should be fine. Even if you run a 205/45/16 tire, you should be okay.

i agree, anything below 40mm is going to be a problem on a civic, not only that, it looks stupid, when the wheels are sticking out, kinda like the guy thats rich enough to buy a body kit and install it, but too poor to have it all painted and drives it around as "work in progress"
