This may be my opinion but I think any B-series in an SOHC car will get some hassle at the referee station (esp. in CA). But if you have an SOHC VTEC D16Z and get it replaced with the same exact engine, I don't think it'll be as bad.

go for b18c then if u got money left put a vtec head n there.. its cheaper cheaper.. if u want to go wild put a b20v those sucker hold shit load of torque..

what about the heat from referees when comes to getting the vin change for the engine? What do they go through and will it be costly?

del sol vtec's have b16's

you have a del sol si with the d16z6, the rule is you can go a higher odb but not lower so any obd1 or engine should work without problems

I know the B16A will bolt on with easy. What do I need to fit in a B18C motor for my del sol, and with there be any mods that need to be done to mount the motor.
