what does the peak boost kit include for engine managment? i mean i guess i could sacrifice my ac, ill never hear the end of it from my gf tho, she loves that shit.

 

it doesn't come with fuel management...
you can use whatever you want

homeade setups can be cheap, but i doubt you can build a kit with the potential of a peakboost or edelbrock kit.

 

i figured that much, i just hate to invest that ammount into a motor with 135k on it when a swap could mean atleast 100k less miles. i dont want to go back to the drawing board. just want a semi fast civic that i can drive every day and last me another 2 or 3 years.

 

I've seen people build whole cars for $800 that would eat many turbo setups. Sure, they're not pretty, but they're fast.

i dont care what my motor looks like as long as it has go. im gonna start researching a "piece together" turbo system. really figure out what im going to need to achieve my goals (175-200 whp). if anyone has suggestions or tips. feel free to post them up, i plan on taking about a year to get it all together.

 

I rebuilt my whole D-series with a new clutch, flywheel, bearings, rings, seals, gaskets, pistons and machine work for $650. If you can take the time to do all the work yourself, you'll save a ton of cash. The whole engine seal kit is under $100. Compare that to the cost of the timing belt parts, and the turbo kit, and you'll probably find it's more economical and practical to do it all at the same time. A lot less work that way. EDIT: ...and you'll know exactly what you've got to work with.
