Dashboard Install
NOTE: I said Dashboard not gauge cluster. I need the whole thing. Anybody ever taken the whole dashboard out? I need to replace mine.
[ Lets not talk about what happened to it - we'll just say that there was paint involved - previous owner]

haha.. try some air plane stripper to see if u can get it off first.. if not..
there are a bunch of 10mm. screws holding the thing in place.. u'll find some on the sides.. u'll find some under the vents & cluster area / take out the plastic center section & what not.. it's not to bad of a job.. i've had mine in & out a few times. good luck!

I tried the airplane striper. The novice who did this used some kind of paint that bonded with the vinyl. I've tried everything but battery acid to get this crap off!!! I was able to remove most of the bolts but there was something in the middle of the dash holding it together and I could not find the screw.
In terms of getting the paint off the dash, if nothing's worked so far, or the vinyl looks like crap, you may want to cut the vinyl off, cover the dash in body filler, and paint it whatever colour you want... could make for a cool looking dash that still has the stock shape. The cost of materials shouldn't be too bad, it'll just take time and labour.
I've done the dash in my 97, I'd assume its close to the 95, and I didn't use a manual... just kinda looked for where it was attached and took notes on how to get it back in.... just remember to disconnect your negative terminal before removing your airbags, and your steering wheel will have to go too.
