If you get a b16,get an Ls tranny.That might be the easiest to find and will match up with your b16.In case you do not know,when i say LS tranny,it is the tranny from a 94-01 Integra LS.

:eh: an ls tranny with a b16a? y the hell would you wanna do that? in that case might as well stick with the stock motor.

Well what would you all suggest then,since you are all ALL KNOWING.He said he was keeping it automatic,so now what then?
GL finding a GSR Auto tranny,since they are hard as hell to find.

Fuck that Swapping auto to 5spd,it's a fuckin waste when you can do it right the first time and BUY a car that is 5spd.

Sell your automatic Civic and buy a 5spd.Then save up for a motor swap.
Problem solved.

The first time I ever took a car on the road i was using a stick. Took like 4 hours to get it down pat. auto to manny swaps are a bitch.

Wouldn't a gsr (b18C1) bolt up to a LS tranny?

Yes and since he is going to keep it auto,that is pretty much the only one that will.

I still don't think that would be much faster w/ auto tranny, considering it doesn't make any power until after 4500K rpm, and that tranny has long gearing

There is no way in hell I would ever think about selling my car and starting over. I just got a brand new pantjob, have a ton of shit done to it period. Probably by time I have the money to get my swap I will be able to drive a 5spd pretty well, it was only an idea. More than likely I'm just going to get a b16a with a 5 spd and do the auto to manual swap. May be a headache but starting over would be stupid as hell for me to do. Thanks for all the replies folks.

tell me y it would be a frikken waste to swap auto to 5spd? explain the logic in that. all oem parts, everything would work, and lots of ppl have been sucessful in doin so. not everyone has the luxury of sellin a vehicle of lots of blood, sweat and tears like my man joseph here in favor of switchin transmission.

Waste of time... just get the stick now, youll thank us later. and yes, stick with the car, just swap the tranny
Why the hell would you ever want a ls tranny?

Gsr / si trannys are gears best. ps(is anybody argues): Ls tranny is not what you want for boost...
