Default BARO sensor problems on my 98 ex

error code came up as BARO sensor. anyone know what one looks like and where i could pick one up. couldnt find one on the web anywhere.

the baro sensor on most newer Hondas are located inside the ecu. Now the bad news is you can't replace it without replacing the computer. It's lame but that's the way to fix it. I have three or four computers with bad baro's at work just for testing other systems. It's not uncommon. Try ebay for one or a local dismantler. I'm sure a new one is around 800 or so..

if you are not scared you can open up the can of worms called an ECU and with air in a can( from computer stored, clean the small sensor and board.

yeah, ill open the can of worms. so are you sure the air cleaning method will work? should i buy some electronics cleaner, the kind that evaporates? i cleaned a cell phone that got salt water in it and got it to work again so im asuming that might do the trick.

I have done this one only one ecm with the pressure sens in the computer, it was a noo loose basis. it worked though.

:bs: It's a logic function inside the computer that detemines the ambient pressure not a sensor inside the ECU...

so it just says o here is my cfm? no. its a map setup not maf? Like my acuras baro sensor went out and even the dealer was dumbfounded/
