Wideband Instuallation
Hey guys, i'm about to install my PLX Wideband.
For any of you that are experienced in this.. i'm a little curious about somethin. I see that my unit comes with both a Wideband & a Narrowband output.
On the Engine harness i have located which wire is my o2 wire & i plan to run my wideband directly to that.
I just want to confirm that, I need to run my wideband output to the o2 wire of the engine harness? correct?
I looked at the instructions & they are extreamly generalized & don't say shit!
Just want to make sure i do this right coz i plan to chip my ECU next week & i want to start tuning my car using my wideband sensor & some dataloging from the ecu!
any helpers out there?

What ECU/engine management are you running?
You are correct, you want to run the PLX signal wire to teh stock o2 input wire on your ecu. Which signal wire you use will depend on what your engine management is... give some mroe info please
Also, be sure to be careful and wire the power, ground and signal wires about 1-2 inches away from the ecu itself. Also don't forget to install the capacitors that are included with the wideband.

i'm looking at either using Uberdata or Crome
with all the stuff that i've been reading & playing with.. i'm starting to like Crome better.
why would i have to wire it different for either of these engine managment programs?

You wouldn't wire it differently between the 2 programs, but you would do it diffrerently if the ECU is not yet chipped.
If its chipped, wire the wideband signal into the ECU. If its not (i.e., its still stock) wire the narrowband signal into the ECU. The wideband signal will confuse a stock unchipped ECU.
Also, make sure that you cut the signal wire off from the stock o2 and run the PLX wire to the ECU INSTEAD of the stock o2 wire.

i'm havin a hard time here.. i'm tryin to figurer out what wire going into my ECU is my o2 sensor input..
i can't find my diagram & the online resource isn't helping me right this second!

*EDIT.. found it..
