Default lowering car

im planning to lower my car, and i was thinkin about just buying the coliovers and use the stocl shocks.. will the shocks blow in a year or something? and if it blows hows the ride quality? oh yea im going to buy a camber kit also with the drop, 94 civic coupe dx

I'm sure you could ride on stock shocks, but I don't know why you would want to. But yeh, sure you could. If anything get kyb's.

the full coilovers are like 800 bucks (coilover with shocks) and the springs are like 120.. and im kinda on a budget.. how long do the stock shocks last on a dropped car anyways?

I got my neuspeed springs for 120$ and my kyb gr-2's for like 200$. I'm sure they will last for a while.

stock shocks can blow the same day you lower it, and they can last up to a year or so. usually they blow very shortly after lowering it. If you are on a budget and don't wanna lower it too far down, get some kyb gr2 or Koni reds for the shocks

They usually blow. Mine did. I heard its suggested that you should get aftermarket shocks if lowering over 1.5 inches. If not going over 1.5 inches, i think u can run with your stock shocks. Note, that the ride will be really bumpy and hard and you feel like your whole suspension will fall off when riding on stock shocks with lowering springs or coilovers

Oh, and blown shocks=really, really, shitty ride, unsafe too.
