Default upgrade on honda

I have a 1996 honda civic DX. I want to install a new header, cat converter and cat back exhaust, I have never done something like this. what are some things that I should consider when I swap these pieces? I've known some people that have done it themselves and end up with more problems afterwards. or should I quiet being cheap and just pay a shop. please help

There's nothing really to it, nothing mechanical really, in reality it's just a series of pipes you bolt up. Anyone with a little common sence can do it, just make sure you get the right parts.

Make sure you have lots of WD-40 or PB Blaster. There's probably lots of rust on them bolts and you definitely don't want to break the head off of one of them.

thanks for the help. I have another question, where can I get the torque for the connection of the header to the engine?
