New shock bushings
So yesterday I put my new KYB AGX shocks and Eibach Pro Kit springs on my 97 civic DX. I didn't have a lot of time and I was really tired so I completely forgot that I had bought new Prothane shock bushings.
Monday Im going to put them in and I was wondering if the bushings for the lower part go where the pinch fork and shock meet the Lower control arm. If so, how do I get the old bushings out w/out f'ing up the LCA. I have a big vise so I figure that I could use a big socket and a bigger socket to just push the old bushings out. Please let me know if this is right before I go tearing ass at my car and screwing it up. Thanks in advance.

well, if you have arms like Arnold or like me, j/k, it will take a lot of pounding it with a dead blow hammer and a table vise. That is what I did with the rear LCA's before. It takes about a 1/2hr to get one out. Your forearms will burn after each one. You can heat it up with a torch or use a press, which would be my recommendation. It's faster. Just oil it up and press it out. :grinpimp:
In case the vise doesn't work:
Drill out enough rubber to pund out the center leeve, then take apart a hack saw, stick the blade through the bushing and reassemble the saw. Cut through the outer sleeve in two places and knock it out. You can cut it in one place and use a screw driver to bend the sleeve in alittle .
