How do you go from B16 to LS/VTEC? If you add an LS head the the B16 you would lose the VTEC

No. I think he is saying that if you go from having the LS B18 Engine to the LS/Vtec then you lose torque and gain HP. But if you already have the B16 engine, and make the LS/Vtec that's when you lose HP but gain Torque.

So it goes to my first post, you will have BOUT the same HP as an Si B16 with an LS/VTEC with more torque. Then with a few moods to the Ls you get the same or more HP out of it. And still have more torque. It all depends on what you want and how you build it

Also when you do a LS/Vtec, don't you lose the oil squirters that cool the pistons?

Take the head off the B16A and put it on a B18A/B block you'd buy. Common sense.

Integras look better and have better interiors, as well as better stock engines. I'd take an Integra over a Civic any day.

Really, you don't say? That is what I said in my post, but then my post was quoted and he said

I was talkin about the engines when I mentioned LS/VTEC and thought he meant start with a B16 and make it an LS/VTEC

If you build it the right way, you can work around those things. I would not recomend just slappin a VTEC head on there anyway

You can reinstall oil squirters... but I wouldn't even go the road of the ls/vtec anyways, ls has a better potential for a full blown setup, due to the compression ratio and its ability to hold a turbo compared to the gsr or type r... And yeah, teggy all the way. My parents had a 1997 Honda Civic EX that I drove around alot... and now I own a 97 Acura Integra LS, and its a whole new car to drive, better driving, faster, better handling and looks alot better than the civic... just my .02
