well i'm betting that you would get in trouble because of the exhaust before you got into trouble for having a loud intake.

There is no way in hell you got a ticket for an intake!!
Maybe exhaust but an intake does not make enough noise to violate ANY sound ordinance!! How the hell did he know you had one anyway??
I call BULLSHIT!!

All of you guys are completely missing my point. I'm not saying I got a ticket because of the intake. I know it was the exhaust. It even says it on the ticket. What I'm saying is my exhaust isn't all that loud to begin with, so I was wondering if I could quiet it down even more by putting in a stock intake. That way when I go to court, I can take the cop outside and make him look stupid, by saying, "You pulled me over for this...it's not even loud." You guys get it now? Then the ticket will definatetly have to be thrown out.

You can't hear the intake when you're behind the car listening to the exhaust...

...which is exactly what the cop is going to do.

The intake is not going to make a difference in your exhaust.
Apparently YOU don't get it.

I get it now .My first post wasn't clear. My exhaust is still going to sound the same. The intake quiets the engine. I looked up the law he wrote, and it's wrong, so there's my next defense. The violation number he wrote doesn't exist

Yeah.. You might want to get an attorney if you're hell bent on wasting your time with this.

A cold air intake does not sound as loud as a short ram because the airfilter is near your tires
